“Günther Förg: Works on Paper: 1976 – 2008,” an exhibition showcasing the work of German artist Günther Förg, is running through October 8, 2016, at Greene Naftali, New York. This is the first US survey of the artist’s decades-long production on paper. The exhibition features 10 large-scale works created with a variation of chalkboard gray and tones of terracotta and ultramarine. On view are Förg’s works such as “Untitled” (1990), which is an analogue to his lead paintings; the 2008 series, “Aller Retour;” and a series of gouaches.A post-war artist, Günther Förg’s work encompassed paintings, graphic and sculptural works. He challenged artistic conventions and his works on paper represent a discipline that he used to examine photography, sculpture, and architecture. The exhibition is on view at Greene Naftali, 508 West 26th Street, Ground Floor & 8th Floor, New York, NY 10001.For details, visit, http://www.greenenaftaligallery.comClick on the slideshow for a sneak peek of the exhibition
