Resipole Studios and Fine Art Gallery, Acharacle, UK, is currently hosting the solo show by Jane Rushton, who is known for her poetic renditions of the serene landscapes of northern England and Scotland. Titled "Lost Horizons," the exhibition is on view through September 18.The exhibition title refers to the ethereal condition where the sea, sky and land merge together, and their boundaries become elusive. The artist explores this idea to the point where ‘this’ becomes ‘that’, and when it becomes harder to define 'that' point. The paintings suggest a horizon giving compositional structure, but the horizons are deliberately ill-defined, or ‘lost’.The exhibition is on view at Resipole Studios and Fine Art Gallery, PH36 4HX, Acharacle, UK, through September 18.
