“Silent Speed,” a new exhibition of works by German photographer Marco Breuer, will be on show through October 29, 2016, at Yossi Milo Gallery, New York. The exhibition explores the photographer’s interconnected groups of work and his recent in-depth exploration of the idea of form finding.On display are Polaroid sequences, small collages, studies for double-pages, and a newsprint tabloid publication. Photographic color works (ranging in size from 14×11 to 30×24 inches), where various shapes loop and flow in and out, are also part of the exhibit. Breuer’s shapes keep shifting between silhouettes, logos, human form, and shadows.The images in the exhibition are a negotiation between the tool, the hand, and the photographic materials employed.The exhibition is on view at Yossi Milo Gallery, 245 Tenth Avenue, New York, NY 10001.
