Artisans, Mumbai, will host the exhibition titled 'TWO TOGETHER - Women Weave & Kishmish: Handwoven Textiles meet Bespoke Garments' from October 12-13.This exhibition cum sale brings together the works of 200 women weavers, who have created the handloom from three different areas of rural Madhya Pradesh. The handloom collection comprises of scarves, stoles, sarees and yardage. This unique show brings together tribal weavers from Dindori, traditional weavers from Warashivni, Balaghat, and the now famous women weavers of Gudi Mudi. The highlight of the show will be the revival Garbhareshmi Sarees, a timeless silk cotton weave unique to Maheshwar.The WomenWeave and Kishmish have completely invested in carrying forward the tradition of Indian clothing.The exhibition will be on view at Artisans, 52-56 Dr V B Gandhi Marg, Rhythm House Lane, Kala Ghoda, Mumbai 400 001, India.
