Le Studiolo Galerie de France in Paris will be hosting an exhibition “Vols D’Oiseaux (Flight of Birds), 1990-2001” by Gilles Aillaud that will be on view through November 26, 2016.The exhibition presents French artist Gilles Aillaud’s works depicting the flights of birds in the medium of paintings, long papers unrolled, and collages created between 1990 and 2001. The works represent virtual portraits of animals in tight and precise enclosures, and in the unlimited and unreachable ultramarine zones, between beach and the sky. Some birds fly very high above the horizon, while others on the contrary, lightly brush the water. Visitors can introspect and trace these nomadic paths, distinguishing the forms that cast shadows.
