Parasol Unit Foundation for Contemporary Art, London, is hosting an exhibition titled 'Robert Therrien: 1975- 1995', that will be on view through December 11, 2016.The exhibition is the first major solo exhibition of Los Angeles-based artist Robert Therrien in Europe, comprising his works from 1975 through 1995. Therrien’s works, in both two and three dimensions, interact with some of the vital art movements of the late twentieth century, including Minimalism, Pop Art and Conceptualism. Taking inspiration from everyday objects, the artist simplifies their forms and manipulates the scale of his then idealized motifs, which recur in various forms in his intricate works. The exhibition presents 43 of Therrien's works including sculptures, reliefs and works on paper executed in various media, which have rarely been exhibited in public for many years.The exhibition is on view at Parasol Unit Foundation for Contemporary Art, 14 Wharf Road, London N1 7RW, UK.
