An exhibition of new works by Buck Ellison titled “Louisa” is on display at Balice Hertling Gallery until January 7, 2017.The exhibition consists of seven framed photographs, two landscapes and five portraits that showcase the artist’s fond memories of and feelings towards Paris. He was 14 when he first visited the city with his father and sister. During their shopping for jeans and eating frozen yogurt is when his father cried out that he wanted him to ‘experience art’ in Europe. Perhaps this is why Paris grew so close to his heart; a city whose experiences laid the foundations of the artistic pursuit that he indulges in today. It is also about his friend “Louisa”, with whom he explored these enigmatic streets in his youth. The exhibition is on view at Balice Hertling, 45 / 47 rue Ramponeau, 75020 ParisFor details, visit: http://www.balicehertling.com/2016/buck-ellison/Click on the slideshow for a sneak peek at the exhibition.
