Last chance to visit Galerie La Forest Divonne’s to view exhibition of artworks by David Décamp in their Paris gallery that ends soon on January 14, 2017.“David Décamp: Forêt” is a solo exhibition where for the first time the artist will be presented by the gallery. David Décamp is an artist who questions insatiably man, nature and their sometimes-destructive relationship through his sculptures, installations and drawings. Self-taught artist, his view has always been linked to the forest, since he was raised in the mountain ranges of Jura and then worked as a woodsman and tree-trimmer. Many themes and materials often reoccur in his sculptures and installations: trees and lead are all the necessary items that create his metaphorical universe. First, he ventured towards stone and wood carving, and at a turning point he confronted many different materials which allow his sculptures to dialogue in echo until gradually going towards installation. “The most important thing is to search not to find,” he says, “searching is a way to transcend.”The exhibition is on view at Galerie La Forest Divonne, 12 rue des Beaux-Arts - 75006 Paris.
