Last chance to see the paintings by artist Megumi Terao on view at Galerie Frederic Moisan, Paris titled “Mature Men” that ends soon on January 14, 2017.Megumi likes to tell stories, the stories of people she meets, encounters or imagines, men she does not know and whose past she does not know. This work of hers is organized around some specific characters: mature men. The subject then spontaneously arises from contact with the mature men who have lived, suffered, loved, hoped for ... Through the intimacy of these men envisaged in a poetic solitude, chosen perhaps, the artist explores various aspects of everyday life, those recesses where memory goes astray, confused, ready to repeat itself. She likes to tell of anonymous and unimportant people, whose existence and experience would not interest anyone, but whose unspeakable history is engraved in the wrinkles of faces. History that the emotive Megumi, in turn, will perceive or receive, then transcribe and inscribe in the copper, to give it an eternity. The exhibition is at Galerie Frederic Moisan, 72 Rue Mazarine 75006 PARIS.
