A Certain Kind of Light: Light in Art Over Six Decades is an exhibit at the Towner Art Gallery, Eastbourne, which features key works of 30 leading artists, including David Batchelor, Rachel Whiteread, Shirazeh Housiary, Peter Sedgley, Cerith Wyn Evans, angela Bulloch, Ceal Floyer, Gary Hume, Anish Kapoor, Raphael Hefti, Runa Islam, Katie Paterson, L S Lowry, Mark Titchner, Peter Sedgley, and Julian Opie. The exhibition aims to explore the response of the artists to light, its transcience, materiality and effect. The artworks reflect the relationship between light with brightness, perception to transformation, color, and energy. The exhibit brings together sculpture, paintings, photography, video, installations and drawing.
