'At the Center of the World' at Hammer Museum, Los Angeles

Hammer Museum is presenting "At the Center of the World" by artist Jimmie Durham (b. 1940, Washington, Arkansas) from January 29 through May 7, 2017.Durham, who had studied art in Geneva and working for the America - Indian Movement for several years, is among today's most compelling and extra-ordinary artist. Artist, performer, poet, essayist, and activist, Durham has moved to Europe more than twenty years ago and since then largely chosen not to exhibit his works in the United States.
