Marcus Dove’s works will be featured in the fourth edition of START Art Fair hosted by Saatchi Gallery in collaboration with Parallel Contemporary Art and Mehta Bell Projects in Saatchi Gallery, London.“Start Solo” includes Marcus Dove’s individual presentations exploring visual metaphors for freedom through his creatively-destructive practices and works executed through a handmade, pyrotechnical missile launcher and smoke grenades. Marcus Dove is a promising artist who was recently featured on BBC News owing to the explosive artistic practices he follows. He is a recent Fine Arts graduate and uses alternative ideas and destructive methods to construct works of art, in order to address Picasso's quote relating to creation via destruction. He shares that the same destructive nature of the process of his artwork has got him to the center stage of art practices that being featured among the stars of the art world, in the START Art fair at Saatchi Gallery. “If I’m honest, I didn’t think I’d get in but I just submitted my piece ‘Two Birds and The Sun’ with the video featured on my website on the process of this artwork, along with pictures of my handmade missile launchers.
