Gallery 21 presents “Separations” by artist duo Natalia Zintsova and Natasha Danberg. Both the artists are known for exploring contemporary themes of art that depict the political and social climate of the country. The central theme of the works explores the feeling of separations, isolation and going far away from near ones in search of a better life. While doing this, both artists refer to certain mythological events where separation was the only choice, even though it was against one’s wish. The low minded northern plants are symbolic of melancholy and despair.Founded in 2010 by Ksenia Podoynitsyna, Gallery 21 is an exhibition space located in the heart of Moscow, which showcases the works of the city’s upcoming contemporary artists. The gallery is committed to the art of the future, and showcases the works of young Russian artists. One of the primary motives of the gallery is to make people aware of the language of contemporary art and the philosophy adapted by the new generation of Russian artists. The space of the gallery is not only meant to conduct exhibitions but it also conducts round table discussions and debates, artist talks where viewers get a chance to directly interact with the artist, thus fostering a new intellectual environment that paves way for a new aesthetic discourse. The exhibition will be on view through November 24, 2017 at Gallery 21, Vinzavod Centre For Contemporary Art, 4th Syromyatmichesky, Lane 1, Blvd 6 105120, MoscowFor details, visit: http://www.gallery-21.ruClick on the slideshow for a sneak peek at the exhibition.
