Jack Hanley Gallery is currently hosting a solo exhibition by Danielle Orchard, titled "A Little Louder, Love". The exhibition marks the first solo exhibition by the Brooklyn based painter. The title of the exhibition has been taken from the lyrics by singer-songwriter Connie Converse whose music only received attention decades after her active recordings in the 1950s in New York. Similar to Connie's songs, the paintings by Orchard focus on exploring the personal lives of women, while blending their narratives into modernist Western painting history. Born in 1985, Danielle Orchard received a B.F.A. in Painting from Indiana University and an M.F.A. in Painting from CUNY-Hunter College. The exhibition will be on view through March 11, 2018, at Jack Hanley Gallery, 327 Broome St, New York, NY 10002, USA.For details visit: http://www.blouinartinfo.com/galleryguide/jack-hanley-gallery/overviewClick on the slideshow for a sneak peek at the exhibition.
