Hausler Contemporary, Munich, is hosting “Transformations,” a group exhibition featuring gallery and guest artists Gunter Brus, Hamish Fulton, Cindy Hinant, Brigitte Kowanz, Haroon Mirza, Klaus Rinke and Roman Signer. This exhibition focuses on depicting the body as the foundation of all experience in the world.“While the human figure has long been a subject for visual works, it has itself been used as an artistic means of expression and instrument of experience in the actions and performances of the 1960s. The body as a transformable medium, which locates itself within time and space, has significantly shaped a new concept of art understood as an ephemeral,” says the gallery.Gunter Brus is an Austrian painter, performance artist, graphic artist, filmmaker and writer.
