Three Shadows Xiamen Photography Art Centre is showcasing “A Nous La Mode!,” a group exhibition as part of the first Franco-Chinese Fashion Meetings. Curated by DOORS Art & Culture Agency and supported by consulate general of France in Guangzhou and Faguowenhua, Institut Francais, this exhibition consists of photographs taken by Louise Desnos, Lin Zhipeng, Liu Shuwei  and  Paul Rousteau .“When young photographers look at today’s new designers, they see a pretty crazy emerging scene. Creativity feeding inspiration feeding creativity. The inventive and daring style of these young designers results in subjects that feed the photographers’ imaginations and lets them explore their emotions, obsessions and desires,” the centre says.Louise Desnos began her artistic career 10 years ago as photographer as well as videographer. Her strong personality is evident from her work. She gained international recognition for her participation in the International Festival of Fashion and Photography at Hyeres-Villa Noailles in 2016. In this exhibition, she has photographed the models of designers Marine Serre, Octo-Arcane, Mariana Ladreyt, and Hyunwoo.Lin Zhipeng works in both fashion and advertising. He has been editing a fashion magazine for the last seven years. He shoots his own work using his friends as models. “The ridiculous situations in which he sometimes places his characters (food that falls or drips from entangled bodies) are inspired but also counterbalanced by a controlled aesthetic of color and shape. The result is a work that is both poetic and provocative in its diary-like revelations of a certain type of Chinese youth, without complexes in terms of sex and pleasure, off the beaten track,” says the centre.Lin Zhipeng has worked for “Suen,” “Chictopia,” “United Nude,” “Glaceau Vitamin Water,” “Bacardi” and “Stuart Weitzman.”Shanghai-based photographer Liu Shuwe is inspired by literature and cinema. He uses bright colors, animated with his own poetry.Paul Rousteau also uses bright colors in his silhouettes with foggy effects, and especially cool and striking colors, which literally construct the photography as in a painting by Monet or Matisse. He has worked for Agnes B, Pigalle Paris, Claudie Pierlot, Eddy Anemian and Asos.“A Nous La Mode!” runs through June 27, 2018, at Three Shadows Xiamen Photography Art Centre (No. 301, Building 2, Xinglinwan Business Center, Jimei District, Xiamen). For details, visit: http://www.blouinartinfo.com/galleryguide/three-shadows-photography-art-centre/overviewClick on the slideshow for a sneak peek into the artworks.http://www.blouinartinfo.comFounder Louise Blouin
