“Modernism Without Apologies,” an exhibition of famous works by acclaimed artist Everett Gee Jackson will be on view at the Hirschl & Adler Galleries, New York. The exhibition will run from October 14 through November 19, 2016. The works displayed in the exhibition mostly focus on modernism that procreated in 1920s Mexico City.Everett Gee Jackson (1900–1995), known to reconnoiter Mexican avant-garde, synchronized his works on domestic matters from East Texas to Southern California — the influence is reflected in his masterpieces. Many critics have regarded his style as “sturdy modernism.” “Modernism Without Apologies” includes nearly 20 figure paintings and landscapes dating from Jackson’s years in Texas, Mexico, and San Diego.
