Chicago Art Source Gallery is hosting two concurrent solo exhibitions titled 'The Beach: Vintage Photography' by Jed Fielding' and 'Ireland: New Works by Melissa Herrington' that will be on view through November 12, 2016.Jed Fielding is an internationally recognized street photographer. Over forty-eight years, he has worked extensively in Peru, Greece, Egypt, Spain, France, Mexico, Italy and US. His works have been widely collected and exhibited and are represented in private and public collections. For Melissa Herrington, travel is a major catalyst in her artistic practice. Layers are integral in her imagery and process, while she employs underpainting, graphic lines, and subtractive techniques to infuse a work with multiple surfaces. 'Ireland' is inspired by adventure and independence, and her love for color, texture, and the natural beauty of Irish splendor. The juxtaposition of these two distinct bodies of art by Jed Fielding and Melissa Herrington results in a dynamic dialogue with human figure serving as the point of departure for both artists as well as metaphorical bridge between the two shows. The exhibitions are on view at Chicago Art Source Gallery, 1871 North Clybourn Ave,nue Chicago, IL 60614, United States.
