‘Preoccupations’ at Pékin Fine Arts, Beijing

Pékin Fine Arts presents “Preoccupations” at the gallery’s Beijing venue.The exhibition brings together recent concerns of five artists, reflecting disparate yet over-lapping practices of prolonged interest in specific subjects. The artists are Aniwar Mamat (b. 1962, Xinjiang Province, China), Huang Zhiyang (b. 1965, Taipei, Taiwan), Mao Lizi, Ryan La Bar (b.1975 Great Falls, Montana,USA) and Xu Zhenbang (b. 1990, Shenzhen, China). The exhibit is showcased in two spaces. In the first exhibition space, new works by Huang Zhiyang and Mao Lizi are on display and in the second exhibition space, the other artists adapt graphic art, geometric abstraction, and vernacular materials to painting.Pékin Fine Arts is a Beijing-based private consultancy and art gallery established by Meg Maggio in November 2005. She is a 20-year China resident, arts writer, curator and director of Pékin Fine Arts gallery, in Beijing . Pékin Fine Arts strives to represent and to promote the best and most innovative contemporary artists from Asia.
