‘Altered State- in the Prints & Original Gallery’ at Saatchi Gallery, London

The Saatchi Gallery, London will showcase “Altered  State- in Prints & Original” –a group exhibition curated  by Olly Walker.The exhibition features works of  eight urban contemporary artists, namely : D.A.N.T.E., David Shillinglaw, Florence Blanchard, Kid Acne, Lily Mixe, Skeleton Cardboard, Sr.X and Victoria Villasana.D.A.N.T.E. was born in Glastonbury, Somerset, UK. His works are based upon contemporary urban life.David Shillinglaw is a versatile artist whose work range from small drawings and hand-made books, paintings , and large-scale wall murals and installation.  Florence Blanchard is a French painter, muralist and screen-printer based in the UK. Blanchard, a Ph.D  of New York University.Kid Acne, also of international fame, is an artist, illustrator, print-maker and emcee. In 2011, Museum Sheffield exhibited a retrospective of his work. The artist lives and works in Sheffield, UK.Lily Mixe is originating from Paris who is currently based in London. Her works reflect a love of nature and a deep concern for the environment.Skeleton Cardboard studied Graphic Design at Camberwell College of Art. He left paintings of skeletons on scraps of cardboard for people to discover on the streets of London.Sr. X is a Spanish street artist now based in London. The artist continues to produce works on the street and in his studio using techniques including stencils, collage, oil and acrylic painting.Victoria Villasana has been influenced both by Mexican and British culture. Her trademark pieces are portraits embellished with yarn.
