Philipp Fürhofer’s ‘Walpurgisnacht’ at Galerie Judin, Berlin

Galerie Judin will showcase Philipp Fürhofer’s “Walpurgisnacht” or “Walpurgis Night” at its Berlin venue.Philipp Fürhofer’s “Walpurgisnacht” captures beau­tiful artworks that are multi-lay­ered and entrancing. These are pieces that function not only as light boxes, but also as paint­ings. Based on whether the light is turned on or off, the con­tents are either illu­minated or shrouded for the viewer. One can see the light rhythmically switch on and off via a timer. The viewer has to con­cen­trate in order to con­sume the informa­tion relayed in these alternat­ing states.
