Galerie Judin will showcase Philipp Fürhofer’s “Walpurgisnacht” or “Walpurgis Night” at its Berlin venue.Philipp Fürhofer’s “Walpurgisnacht” captures beautiful artworks that are multi-layered and entrancing. These are pieces that function not only as light boxes, but also as paintings. Based on whether the light is turned on or off, the contents are either illuminated or shrouded for the viewer. One can see the light rhythmically switch on and off via a timer. The viewer has to concentrate in order to consume the information relayed in these alternating states. Fürhofer captivates the audience by drawing them into a space in a constant state of flux, so that there is always something new unfolding for the duration of often lengthy performances. The exhibition will be on view from February 17 through April 7, 2018, at Galerie Judin GmbH, Potsdamer Strasse 83 10785 Berlin. For details, visit: http://www.blouinartinfo.com/galleryguide/galerie-judin/overviewClick on the slideshow for a sneak peek at the exhibition.
